Redistribution mode

First of all, just to make sure we're all on the same page, I'm talking about the Browser Mode (the thing that controls the user agent string), not the Document Mode (the thing that picks which rendering engine to use).

With that out of the way, how do I set IE8's Browser Mode? Even with X-UA-Compatible set to "IE=edge" (which correctly sets the Document Mode to IE8 Standards), Developer Tools is reporting that the Browser Mode is "IE8 Compat View" (which returns an IE7 UA), rather than "IE8". I don't do any browser sniffing at present, but this could be a problem if I ever need to do so in the future.

I am developing asp.net 2.0 using c# and when I place a break point on a line of code and hit f5 or "start debugging" it just brings up the website without stopping at the breakpoint.

 It is set for debug not release and I don't know what else to do? Does anyone have any suggestions?

We have a SharePoint farm consisting of 5 web applications. These are tied together through branding and a custom sitemapprovider which present the farm as a single environment to end users. Our visually disabled users however have to enable the accessibility mode for each web application. Which is a nuisance, ideally they would only have to enable once for the complete farm. Does anybody have a solution for this problem.

I have strange problem with my public facing site after implementing AKS. Please see below.

1) OnMouseOver Menu actions are slower then before
2) font size on site actions menu looks different
3) when i click on Modify Web Part (Edit mode layout is completely different and Target Audiences field looks shirnked)

If you see the code (page/view source) in every page made by MOSS, it has a javascript saying :

"Turn on more accessible mode"

It doesn't appear, but with a little tweakingI was able to turn it on .
It has some interesting behavior, but I wonder if there is some more information about it.

In MOSS 2007 that is using SSRS 2008 (not R2) in sharepoint integrated mode, how can this be changed to the SQL report manager mode and what changes need to be applied in Sharepoint? I assume that the report permissions would need to be recreated.

We have developed a SharePoint- FBA site and published it through ISA.  The site, among many features, displays SSRS reports through Performance Point Monitoring dashboards.  SSRS is using windows integrated authentication (Kerberos).  Through intranet, the reports are getting displayed without any issue, but, through internet, its getting prompted when we try to access the reports for the first time after logging into the site using FBA credentials.  When we enter valid domain credentials after being prompted, it starts displaying reports without any issues and never prompts again for that FBA session.

We have been trying to eliminate the prompt through internet, but couldn't do so. 

Has anyone experienced the same before?

Any help is appreciated.

I have created a simple report with BIDS and have deployed to my SSRS server. Works fine... when I use the Report Viewer/Explorer webparts it works fine only on my PC. Really only displays on my computer. When others access the page the webpart does not load... it states "Navigation to the webpage has been cancelled." I have added all necessary permission to the report. the report displays if users access it directly from the report server, just not when viewing from the Sharepoint site. I even logged into another computer with my domain credentials and it did not work only on my computer that i used to create/deploy the report with BIDS...

any help would be great I'm stumped....

I've seen this answer for Reporting Services several times: "You cannot use a data source expression in a shared data source".

My question is: Is there any chance to use data source expressions in a shared data source at Sharepoint (Report Builder 2.0)?

We have an SSRS instance under SharePoint Integrated Mode. I just want to know what my options are for deploying SSRS reports. Would it be ok if I don't install SharePoint on the SSRS box? SSRS and SharePoint are on different hardware. Please advise.
